About Bijay

Bijay is an immigrant, father, professional, entrepreneur, and community builder and is now running to be a candidate for the Conservative Party of Canada in the riding of Mississauga Malton.

Bijay was born and raised in a middle-class family in a small village in Bardiya, Nepal. His father, Krishna, was a farmer and small business owner, and his mother was a homemaker. Bijay earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Information Management from Tribhuvan University. In 2010, he moved to Canada with his wife. They now live in Mississauga Malton with their two children, Prenam and Bidushi. Bijay's parents joined them a few years later.

When Bijay first arrived in Canada, he worked as a warehouse associate, taking on one full-time and two part-time jobs to support his family. That level of struggle shows his determination and commitment to building a better life.

As a business owner, Bijay has not only contributed to the local economy but has also been a champion for entrepreneurship and youth empowerment. His leadership as the Founding President of the Federation of Canada Nepal Chamber of Commerce reflects his commitment to promoting local businesses and creating opportunities for our residents.

In his political career, Bijay played an important role in Pierre Poilievre’s leadership campaign as a national coordinator for the Nepali community across Canada. He supports the Conservative Party as a member of the leader circle and has been actively involved in major election campaigns. Currently, he is the Executive Assistant (Nepal Affairs) for MP Kyle Seeback. In 2021, he ran for MP nomination in Mississauga Malton and has been a strong voice for the community at all levels of government. He received the Remarkable Citizen Award from the provincial government for his community service during COVID-19.

Now, Bijay wants to represent Mississauga Malton in Ottawa. With his experience, passion, and dedication, he aims to be a strong voice for our community's needs and aspirations. It’s painful to see people of Mississauga Malton and across Canada are struggling to eat, heat, and house themselves. There is crime, chaos, drugs, and disorder in our community. The current government is out of touch and has no idea about the struggle of the people. Under the leadership of Pierre Poilievre, he is committed to being a strong voice for our communities to bring home affordability, create jobs, safe neighborhoods, and make Mississauga Malton a better place for everyone.
